Make sure you have:
Immediately set light to the top of these rules.
Try to avoid the fire going out, but if it does, re-light these rules before continuing.
Don't read too slow. Try to finish reading these rules before they are completely consumed. Don't read too fast. Try to ensure at least some words are burnt before you are able read them.
Once these rules are completely burnt away, record them as best you can on a new sheet of paper.
Find a new player, give them your new copy of the rules and a lighter. Avoid describing the rules to the new player. Try to leave before the new player begins.
