OUR LAW

A game written and run by Jonathan Whiting

ACTIONS IN FIRST TURN

PROPOSED CORRECTION: INTRODUCTIONS

Patrick proposed:

I motion that we add a law:

Whereby each person is required to introduce themselves:

Each player is required to write a succinct and clear introduction of themselves upon joining the game. If someone is in the game before this law is enacted, they must retroactively introduce themselves.

PROPOSED CORRECTION: REMOVAL OF OVERRIDING VOTE

Stephen Lavelle Proposed:

I propose the following amendment to law 10, which currently reads:

We require a beneficial dictator at all times. Our beneficial dictator can make a single overriding vote in each turn. When the beneficial dictator excercises this right all other votes on that motion are ignored.

I would wish the final two lines to be removed from it, leaving it as:

We require a beneficial dictator at all times.

PROPOSED CORRECTION: DEMOCRATIC DICTATOR

Terry Cavanagh Proposed:

Law 14 currently reads:

14: OUR GLORIOUS LEADER

Jonathan Whiting is our beneficial dictator.

I propose the following amendment:

14: OUR GLORIOUS LEADER

Jonathan Whiting is our current beneficial dictator. A new beneficial dictator is elected every turn by popular vote.

PROPOSED CORRECTION: BENEFICIAL LOSER

Alan Hazelden Proposed:

I propose replacing law 12 in its entirety with the following:

At the end of the game the winner is the citizen who has spent least time serving as beneficial dictator. If multiple citizens tie, a winner is chosen randomly from this group.

PROPOSED CORRECTION: OUR LAW SHOULD NOT KILL

Damien Landreau Proposed:

I propose replacing law 13 with this text :

A law regarding a citizen can't be repealed, It can be amend to temporarily deprive the citizen of his right to propose a correction to a law.

PROPOSED CORRECTION: AMENDMENTS

Nial Moody Proposed:

Accordingly, I propose the following law:

During the turn it was proposed, a motion may be amended any number of times by the citizen who proposed it. In the following turn citizens will vote on the most recent version of the motion.

PROPOSED CORRECTION: BY ANY OTHER NAME

Jonathan Whiting Proposed:

I propose a line is added to the end of the text of law 8, Corrections Bureau:

"Motions should be sent with an email subject indicating that it is a proposed correction, and includes a name for the motion that hints towards its contents."
